I was thinking of getting this LCD from costco over the Westy from BB. I figured that with the costco warranty would be worth it, specially if a better tv with a better price is released soon, then I get take it back and get that for a bit more. Whats your thoughts on this tv and idea?

Well that LCD doesnt do 1080p so I wouldnt buy it.

Not to many 1080p programs out anyway, 1080p is not a big issue for me right now.

For that kind of money I wouldn't get anything that doesn't do 1080p. I did however order the 32" Sceptre from Costco a few days ago. $599. Since there are no 1080p screens in that size and price range I figure I'll run it a year or so then sell it and upgrade to a 37" or 42" 1080p then. Prices are dropping like a rock right now but I need something to get by for a while.

My local shopko is selling westy 37w3's for $799 out the door on blackfriday. Going to go pick one up and do some PC gaming on it.

No, I dont think that they do online sales. Im going to be there before they open and hope I get one. They said they have three in stock and shopko isnt normally a place people are going to rush looking for tv's/monitors so I should be able to get one.

seems like you are buying a return policy instead of a tv based on your posts.

i highly recommend saving some more money (like another $1500) and moving up to something better. both tvs are somewhat budget, so have budget expectations. I know that is not feasible always, but it seems like you are buying this tv and then waiting to return it.
