I currently have a Kyocera FS-1900 at work here and it seems to be on it's way out with how it has been acting lately. The toner it uses is TK-50 or TK-50H which does 10,000 or 15,000 per toner cartridge. What I'm looking for is a printer that's toner will get a high volume of pages while being reasonable on the toner price. If it was a scanner / copier / fax is fine as well. We also do use some very thick paper for post card reminders to clients.

Anyone able to help with any recommendations would be great.
 
I'd have a look at Kyocera printers again, great workhorses. I've also very good experience and would highly recommended Gestetner/Richo's AIO machines (way better than Minolta) and I would expect their printers to be just as good. Stay away from Lexmark, they may give you a good bang for the buck on paper but they're just horrible in production. OKI printers are pretty good although reliablity seems to be a bit worse on mid-end than before. Minolta seems pretty good although drivers are a bit buggy. HP units these seems to be really bad compared to 5+ years ago, although Canon might be worth looking at. This is based on my limited experience.

Yeah we just bought a Kyocera printer for are other business and it's a nice machine but doesn't do what it needs to do. The company that sold it to us told us that it would print on thick paper but all it does is jam unless given one piece in the tray at a time. Company said they would give us a new driver that would fix this issue but after they got there money they wouldn't return any calls on the issue. Although our other Kyocera works fine on thick paper.

I will have to look into other Kyocera models and Gestetner/Richo's AIO machines.
