I am building a small computer for a business to use for Point of Sale and general office duties. I was going to base it around a shuttle XPC line because of their size. The business owner really likes the idea of a small system. To complicate things though, I want to set up a RAID 1 with 2 disks so that we have some redundancy to layer on top of the backup strategy.

Which model XPC would you recommend...

Shuttle SD32G2B SD32-G2-BK-V1 + Adaptec 2232100-R

or

Shuttle SD37-P2-BK-V2

After the price of the RAID card, they're about the same price.

Of course, if you have a better idea, please chime in too.

after googling the specs, it appears that one is based on the 975X chipset, requiring an additional graphics card, while the other is a 945g implementation. Since this is a POS system, which implies that it does not need ``high end'' graphics, I'd go with the 945, provided it supports a Core2 CPU.

Done. Thanks. Didn't notice one was lacking onboard graphics.

Thanks.
