Hi,

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP 2 and I have a few bootable .iso files that I would like to burn to CD-R and/or CD-RW discs. I have the required hardware (and the disks) but looking for a freeware program (that runs under WinXP) that will burn a bootable .iso to disc.

I tried cdrwin, but it did not detect my CD-R Drive correctly. Any other programs are available for free [legally, no pirates please!]

As long as the ISO is bootable as you state, BurnAtOnce has been a favorite of mine for years now.

If you have Nero (usually included with a lot of CD/DVD burners if you bought a new one, OEM editions but they work fine), it'll burn images easily: It's under the Recorder - Burn Image menu item.

There are other free solutions, like ISOBurnerXP, CDBurnerXP, etc...

Good luck.

EDIT:
BurnAtOnce does not work with DVD ISOs, I need to mention. There was a plugin available at one period of time that enabled DVD media writing, but I've never been able to locate a copy (it's free also) so, if you're dealing only with CD ISOs, that's my recommendation.

Hi,

yes. Burn at once is what I have been looking for.

Thank you. I will try sincerely to work it.
