burner question respond fast urgent

Nice link... Iomega normally charges a premium for average quality stuff. I'd get a Lite-On instead. Dual format means it can burn -r,-rw,+r,+rw. Dunno what drives support dvd-ram. That's completely outdated anyways - so I would try to stay away from that.

Most Panasonic DVD recorders support DVD-RAM and the new DVR-A07 from Pioneer will read from DVD-RAM discs. It's not an outdated format, but most people don't need/use it.

Lite-on 811S is a kick ass dvd dual format drive. I bought one and love it.

srry about the bad link, i bought the burner brought home, and hooked it up, tried to create a dvd, couldn't so i tried 30 different times, no go so i was like hell with it and i am going to return asap and probably get the lite on or tdk, or whatever you guy's reccommend, baisically dvd- ram would be nice but if its no good forget it, i wanted to be able to burn dvds that they sell as movies u know like swat and i also wanted to create my own, but my memorex has been good for that, the only problem it is only +r so, just reccommend as much as u can or want

 Wha?

baisically what happened was i got home, i plugged it in, it worked fine till i tried to burn something with it, i created my own dvd with intervideo windvd creator program and i wasn't able to burn the dvd with the new burner, so i was like ok let me try nero, nero didn't even pick up the burner in the bar, so i tried like 3 different burning programs i couldn't get any to work. i tried making it as a master and the memorex as the slave, but then i could burn on the memorex but not the new one. so i finnaly said forget about im going to get a different one this is giving me the biggest headache.
The reason why i bought the new burner was (1) i wanted to be able to burn dvd's that are more then 4.7 gigs which is acheived through dvd ram (correct me if im wrong) so i looked for a burner with dvd ram, (2) the memorex that i have the old burner burned dvd's but it didn't support dvd ram or dvd-r.(3) this burner looked decent because in the hot deals forum it was talked about as a good burner,.
a quick question is, is there something wrong with my programs, nero and windvd creator and easy cd creator 6, is it the burner?
Sorry its so long:D
