Burner can't write but can read, why?

I have a computer using Win ME and a Sony burner model CRX210E1. I posted a thread b4 relating to this issue. Before i thought it was my firmare problem (was using the newest sony firmware at first) so then I managed to flash it wif the Lite-on OEM version for my sony burner. I am using Nero6 to burn the cds, and I dont think it's the software problem, cause the burner used to be able to burn before I actually upgraded my firmware from the sony site.

can someone tell me how to fix my burner? It can still read cds properly, just cannot burn....

anyone can give me any kinds of help?? THANKS!
