I have one of the xspc 5.25 bay reservoir pump combos, a few days ago I started to smell something that was like burning plastic after my computer had been running for about a 1/2 an hour or so. My tubing was starting to turn yellow so I thought maybe there was something in the water that was causing it. I changed out my tubing and now the pump will not come on at all. Did my pump burn out?

The smell of burnt plastic is never a good indication, it could've been a small short circuit.
Can you disassemble the reservoir to check the pump visually and to find the cause of the smell?

ok so it was not the water cooling system at all, I was playing around with it and the pump started to pump lasted for about 30 mins the I heard a pop in sound and the back of my psu started to smoke, so I think that was my problem.

That doesn't sound good!

My XSPC bay res died after about a year, so it may not be far off...
