Burn-In Q's + A's

my little friend Google, knows everything there is to know about this subject, he's a practical genious, and can answer almost any question known to man in like 2 seconds.
 
CRT and Plasmas are prone to burn in. Older Plasmas can burn in very fast. Burn in is characterized by uneven wearing of the phosphors usually caused by leaving a static image on a part of the screen. this leaves a residual image burned into the screen. LCDs do not burn in but some people have noticed minor image retention on them that goes away rather quickly (not sure what this is caused by or if its a myth).
