Bumpy paint

Wet sand very carefully with 800 grit. This will knock down most of the high spots. If it's on good and thick proceed to 1500 grit and finish it off with 2000 grit and some polishing compound. You may need to pick up a sandpaper backing block to make it nice and flat but allow you to move around some of the curved edges.

Hm, that picture makes it look much brighter than it is. Looking at it it's as dark as the one in your picture.
