How safe is it? I mean, this is my first time EVER trying to watercool. if i buy a kit, such as from swiftech, i heard people say their manuel is very very good for newbies; however, others have also recommended me to build a custom one. i would get better performance out of the custom one for sure, but the problem is, if this is my first time, how am i suppose to know how to fit everything together?

i wanted to buy the components from danger den, but the components don't come with detailed assembly for the entire thing...any ideas??

If your having this much indecision I would suggest you get a Koolance EXOS. They are new for about $200 + coolers and about $100-150 used. They are really Plug & Play and you could be operational in less than two (2) hours even including sitting down for a brewski while you read the manual :) Performance is also quite good...

Although I havent completed my first rig. I have gotten just about every bit of information know to man right here reading and asking questions. It looks as though you have been doing your research and thats good. If you do your research, take your time on assembly, TEST your assembly for leaks before installing. Then you significatly lower your risk factor.

There isn't really too much you need to know to assemble the loop, you want to make sure that you plan the tubing well so that it is as short and smooth as possible. You want everything to be nice and snug so there will be no leaks. And it is usually preferable for the sake of filling/bleeding the system to have the resevoir/T-Line right before the INTAKE on the pump, so you need to figure out where the intake and output of the pump is. Beyond that it doesn't really matter what order you put the components in.

You can find answers to most of your questions in a number of beginning water cooling guides from various sources, or from asking questions in the forums. Also, not all kits are very bad, the swiftech kits are pretty good, nice block, nice pump, decent radiator. Unless you really go to an extreme you wont see a huge jump in performance making a custom kit over the swiftech kit.

Don't worry too much. Most of the setup for a DIY system is patience and common sense. I just finished building mine a couple weeks ago and the hardest part was deciding where everything was going to go in the case. Hopefully you have the luxury of actually installing it into a new case like I did. Makes it sooooo much easier to fit and test everything at your leisure.

Good luck and have fun putting it together.

Did my first water cooling set up not to long ago. And I pieced mine together and looked for the best performance parts. not a kit. and it was REAL easy. It pretty basic common sense. I wont lie, Its kinda never wrecking at first. but if you just do what you should............... no problem. Doesnt hurt to post and ask questions here on the forum. Thats a big part of why its here and there are tons of people with great help and advise. I recomend to pick the stuff based off of what you want and what you want the system to benifit from it. And feel free to PM me if I can help.
