Building new PC

I am thinking about building new PC with the following:

Intel Pen 4/ 3.0E GHz 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology - OEM

Intel "D865PERLL" i865PE Chipset Motherboard for Intel Socket 478 CPU -RETAIL

Any suggestions for RAM and video card? I like games and present PC will not handle
Men of valor or MofH Pacific Assault.

Should I use AGP or PCI vid card. Have heard AGP is faster and any suggestions on which card at 128 mb.

Pci and agp are about equal right now. Pci just has more bandwidth for future cards. Amd is a good choice for gaming, but you might consider going socket 939.

Although PCI-E might not be optimized much right now, In the near future youll be kicking urself for not getting (Due to PCI cards like ethernet and sound, plus new and improved video cards)

Although SLI might not be optimized much now, perhaps in the near future it will be, I'm getting it just to be safe, plus I plan on using dual 6600Gt (EVGA)s.

He was referring to PCI not PCI-Express; his motherboard doesn't support PCI-E. And no, do not go PCI, because i have the best PCI card you can get (ATI Powercolor 9200 256MB) and it still sucks. For the same amount of money you spend on a PCI card you could get a more impressive AGP card.

Yeah, i understand. I had to go with a PCI video card because my POS Dell 2400 doesn't have an AGP slot!
