Memory: I need help for RAM. I want the best bang/buck 6GB combo. This is what I found, and it has great reviews, but I am unsure.

Motherboard: This is another one that I need major help with. I want a good board that can overclock very well, but I want best bang/buck. Currently I chose the P6X58D, but it's very expensive. I also saw the X58A-UD3R which has almost the same features as the P6X58D, but it's 100$ less expensive. That looks like a good board - opinions?

Power Supply: Here is another one I need help with. I can spend an extra 40$ and get the HX750W PSU, which is more efficient than the TX750W, has modular design, and is just overall newer and better. Is it worth it?

Hard Drive: I definitely need help for this. I want a really fast drive for the OS/Programs, so should I invest in an SSD? How much memory would I need on an SSD to fully store the OS and programs, and is the high price worth it?

So what I need help with is choosing the right RAM and motherboard for my build. I also need help with my hard drives, should I go for SSD? Is it worth it? And about the power supply, I'm just wondering if it's worth the extra 40$. Thanks for reading.

All links are broken, try fixing them. If you have the budget for an SSD, get it, and 80gb would be enough, but if you can get 100+.

Your choices are pretty solid. I'd drop the sound card and maybe go with a different video card. (A higher end card, possibly a 5870.) Unfortunately AMD GPUs tend to be somewhat problematic with the 3D rendering applications you mentioned. I've seen numerous problems with the viewport while working in these applications.

What's sad is that in the past I've seen more problems with the FireGL cards than anything when it comes to drivers. I've found that when it comes to professional use, NVIDIA's drivers are vastly superior to AMD's. That sucks because you'd have to deal with a slower card until Fermi is released.
