My last thread deviated so I thought that I would repost:

hydro system revision 1.03

Lian Li PC75
Aquaero LCD Control Panel
Danger Den 6800 Water Block
PolarFlo TT Loop Lock Chipset
PolarFlow TT CPU Chrome block
Eheim 1250 317 GPH (Possibly dual pumps)
Danger Den Dual (5 1/4) Bay Reservoir (Could I get by with something smaller or does anyone have a suggestion of something different?)
And 2 or 4 (depending on the setup) Pabst 120mm 4412 F/2M fans

I'm planning on getting either a Black Ice Pro 120mm Rad, but not sure if I need a Single or Double. Would this kind of setup need a dual radiator?

I want to over-clock my pc and I'm looking for a system that performs very well and is less noisy than my current air cooling setup as well as a system that I could use through a couple cpu/mb upgrades. Would this cut it? Does anyone have suggestions to this system?

Build a PVC reservoir, much better than those plastic ones. With those, a crack is only a matter of time.

for the rad it depends on where u are planning to mount it.. but i would tend to stay away from the bix series as a normal heatercore would perform better at a cheaper cost

white guy, I found a good how to build a res. it looks pretty easy and I'll definately do that. my question is: how large does it need to be? how much water does it need to hold?

thanx for the info guys!

There is no set size for a rez........... ;) I have a friend that is a thermal engineer and he says that the biggest that will fit along with the biggest rad that will fit. The more serface area and volume the better the cooling.............. :D

My res uses 2" PVC pipe and fittings and is probably 9-10" tall. I'd estimate it holds half a liter, like a bottle of water. That's quite a bit.

Wow, that's nice for dumping in a bunch of ice cubes :D
:D Thats the plan, still have to get a few things though before I can use it.
