Building an small gaming computer

Hey, I’ve been wanting to build a new computer now for a while. This computer is mainly going to be for LAN parties at my friend’s place, so it needs to be pretty portable. I’m thinking about using an HTPC case for it so I can lug it around easier. Also, it’ll probably be hooked up to a projector or something as the main display. What kind of specifics would you guys recommend?

The main point is that it has to be a pretty small case, but also powerful enough to run modern-ish games (TF2 mainly)

Also, a HTPC case isn't a good choice considering that they tend to be bulkier and heavier than actual SFF cases.
