Building an Ivy Bridge rig soon after launch?

Do you plan an Ivy Bridge build soon after launch?

  • Of course I am, it´s the only reasonable course of action.

Planning an Ivy Bridge build in January 2012 (coincide with vacation in the US). It has been four years since I build, and I wonder how many others here are considering or have already decided to build an Ivy Bridge rig?

I want it to be a lot faster than my current rig and it will be used for two things primarily: High end photo editing and non CPU limited gaming :D Mostly I do this upgrade because I love it, and it has became a very sensible four year tradition, which seems like a smarter frequency when you have multiple expensive hobbies.

I´d be happy to hear encouragements or even reasons why this is a bad idea in January.

Cannot say it is bad as last I knew the release was pushed back to March or April of 2012.

Google it. This was plastered all over the tech sites a few months back.
