Building a new system/need some input

I was considering buy a x800xl or a x850 pci-e card for my new computer. I am really excited about the new multi card system coming out from ati in a few weeks. So, I am debating to wait and get the new x800xl 512mb and wait about 6 months and get another. Buy a x850 256mb wait about a 6 months and buy another. I have been looking into sapphire as my company of choice. Can anyone give me a helping hand on this issue?
