What kind of connection will it be behind? WIll you be colocating it?

Lets see:
Twin Zeon processors or twin Opteron processors (preferably Opteron)
Lots of RAM (2048MB, maybe ECC if you can afford it)
Any mobo that supports these chips and ECC RAM
Everything onboard (unless you are planning on playing it at the same time)
Gigabit LAN connection to broadband connection
RAID, maybe two or three high capacity fast SATA drives (think Raptors)

Hope this helps.

unless you're running like a championship class type server, there is really no need for all that horsepower.

I run a dedicated on a Barton 2500 / 1 Gig Ram / 7200 RPM 80 gig

a regular onboard lan will be fine for wideband, if you are using colocation or something.

right now, SATA and PATA ~ there isn't much difference between the 2, and when running RAID, PATA still beats SATA in some configurations.
