Hey I have a list of computer components that I'm building for a Gaming Computer, just wondering if these would run the highest graphics on any game online and single player without lag.....and knowing that computers run out of date pretty fast, but still would this be able to run for a pretty good while? What do I need to improve, my budget is $1300-$1500 for my computer. Thanks...

cooler master stacker, great for future upgrades plenty of room!!
OCZ gamextreme 600 watts
Corsair xms2 ddr2800 4-4-4-12 2 gb
asus p5n-e-sli with nvidia 650i chipset
samsung 18x dvd combo drive with light scribe (you can print graphics on cd from the drive)
WD 160 GB 7200 rpm sata II 16mb cache
Acer 22" LCD Monitor dvi 1680x1050 5ms
BFG 8800gts video card
Intel e6300 1.8 ghz cpu (extremely overclockable)

You already have a thread in the general hardware forum asking this same question. Cross posting is not cool....

And yeah, it looks like a nice system, just get a good psu...

aight thanks, I'm new to this and I'm just trying to get information, this time I posted my components unlike last time so thats why I did it...

I'd stay away from the OCZ power supply, cuz I have heard mixed messages about that company. Try Enermax, Antec, or PCPower (even if they are expensive). Go with 700+ watts if you want to keep with the upgrade theme.

Stick with Enermax, PCPower, Seasonic, or another actual brand of PSU, and I agree 750w or more will provide headroom for upgrades like SLI or overclocking that 6300. I'm not a fan of anything from OCZ, since they don't actually make anything - farm everything out and just market it. Don't forget a good CPU heatsink like Zalman or Arctic Cooling.

if you can afford it switch your gpu to a EVGA 8800 GTX evga has a better name and normaly has a higher clock so itll be faster but i think it costs more anyways looks nice

and if u can wait a few more months Q'2 get the E6320 4mb l2 cache for the same price as the E6300 so id wait for that if u can bear it

Honestly BFG is to me a better name for a vid card. I have had NO issues with their lifetime warranty RMA process and they actually sent out a new card not a refurb. Plus EVGA wants your reciept included too. Not sure why you need a reciept with a lifetime warranty. Clock speeds should be the same on both parts unless you get one of the new overclocks from the factory cards and then I think they are probably still comparable overclocks. So as far as I am concerned its BFG all the way and no one else :)
