Of course guys, I said I would build this case mod, well I need some feedback or insighful wisdom while I tackle building a 2x motherboard setup.

If you ask how big, how about the sizes of 4ft 5in long x 2ft high x 2ft wide. I don't the Aussies seen this one coming and neither did this team. I can give you as a fact that 25% of both 2 motherboards will be folding when I do get this thing online, but feast your eyes on your new Lord of Folding Boxen, or the King of Boxen, Or Queen of the pc borg fest.

25%??? What's that crap? This baby needs to be at like, 125%!

It will be a gaming server and hopefully a member of the Terabyte club later, so 25% seems better than 0%.

I think you've got enough room for that new asus 6150 mobo and a X2 or opty in there :D Have that one fold 24/7 to make up for the others.

I failed to mention that it has 2 motherboards in it, 1 a socket 754 and the second being a socket 939. The gigabyte 939 motherboard supports a x2 processor while the other motherboard supports a 3400+ amd processor.

Yeah I saw the pics, I just saying you could do with another mobo in there with an X2 folding 24/7 :D

they should all be dually boards..... you know... 2 by 2 :)

or.... dual duallys.....

Keep on Folding!! For the [H]orde!!

i guess 25% is better then nothing but still comeon we don't need no stinking games:D

Cool Mod Idea as well

exactly. If this is gonna be the king or queen of folders, it needs to be working harder.

I got some hardware today, I will be cutting the lower baseplate for the case tomorrow. I'll think about having more motherboards and thus more powersupplies in the case. I will see how far I progress on the bottom, that will tell me if I need more pc hardware added to it.

But I have to consider I will have a Raid-5 array in this case also. Ok if I put 4 motherboards in it will you guys stop pestering of how many motherboards can fit in it.

if there is room for more... then more.... ;)
there's no sense in wasting space!

No sense in wasting space, but putting too much in a space is a problem...

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=934724

The box built there is now dead (still have it, but no comps inside). Splitting the power supplies to power two motherboards was not a good idea...

The mobos are still folding, but either nekkid or in mini-atx boxxen.

Yeah just put a couple 120mm fans on each side and they'll stay nice and cool. I never realized how much air they moved till i got some. Maybe one on each end of each of the mobos so the air goes directly over them. It should be sweet. Or maybe add another level and watercool all the mobo's in giant loop with a couple MCP655 pumps and a couple triple 120 rad's. It would be sick.

I'm not wasting space in this thing I have a horde of equipment to put into this thing for example:

1. 4 motherboards, the 2 already in it and 2 more to be added soon, If I have to I will tear down my slot 2 p3 xeon and put it into the case, and have a socket 370 mb for the tv tuner part.

2. I will be building up a raid 5 setup, not sure of it being scsi, sata or ide, this will go into the case, and will be the data backup of the 4 motherboards.

3. It will be water cooled, not sure of the type, most surely it being Danger den, because I can get it at microcenter.

4. I have a plan to have a 4 port usb kvm added inside of the case, with a panel that will have hookup's for vga and mouse or keyboard.

5. A multimedia back panel that will have a hookup for a logitech thx setup.

6. it will have a radio tuner, a dvd-rom for one of the computers, and to top if off it will be folding.

but lets just get it started at the base first then we'll go from there.
