Hello all,
Sorry for this question, because I assume it has been asked several times, but I have searched and have been unable to find a view. In short, I have been building my machines for several years, and the last machine I built is a very large Lian Li desktop system with an A7010. Needless to say, it's big. I have a cabinet that now needs to fit my computer, so I am going to begin disassembling my current system.

I would like to get the best SFF system I can get. Light gaming, adobe apps, etc. However, I absolutely do not want to build it this time. I would like to buy from a manufacturer.

I have been looking at Maingear, AVA, HP and Dell. Can anyone give me recommendations on the best SFF builder?

Thank you.

Thank you. Don't really have one, but could go about $5K or maybe more. Obviously, would prefer not to.

To be honest, I am not sure yet whether to go with mITX or mATX. I am still in the process of looking through posts on HF on that subject. However, I am leaning toward mATX because I would still like many of the benefits of a full size.

I just don't really feel like building it. I am not worried about tech support. Thanks again.

If your not worried about tech support then you may consider finding a local geek off craigs list to do it. I do that kind of build for people on a fairly regular basis for people around here where its basically them giving the budget & what there looking for. Then I configure order & build the system for them & provide limited tech support (basically hardware failures only) after the fact.

Thank you for the response. After giving it some thought, I think I would like to stay with a known-quantity, such as a boutique or typical manufacturer. Alternatively, the HP slimline system doesn't seem that big.

I am also wondering if any boutique is using, for example, some of the Lian Li cases listed on the front page of this subforum.

Any thoughts welcome. I am ultimately just looking for anyone who has had a SFF built by one of these types of companies. Thanks again.

I Dont recall any using Lian li, But there are a few using the Silverstone SG05, & SG06.

In all honesty though I do understand that you dont want to build it yourself. You will end up spending another 1000 or so on the system for the same parts as you could do yourself in an afternoon. We can even come up with a build list of parts that we know work together in most any of the new lian li cases.

Some people don't care and spend money for no reason. 5k for a MATX system is just crazy. Seriously. I couldn't make a system cost that much if it was a MITX or MATX. Can only stuff so many expensive components in such a small case.. Unless you went with raided 500gb SSDs or something insane like that.
