We are also going to pickup a XFX 5850 from circuit city (bing CB ty) and an Antec 300 from Microcenter for about $45. Also, we are getting an OEM W7 Home Premium copy.

Please give your comments and any suggestions.

You might want to see if the have the 860 for around the $200 mark too. If you have the option, get the 860 for that price.

Looking good there :)

personal preference
ASUS P7P55D - May perform similar, but similarly priced, is somewhat spacier, has spdif out, and has a much larger user-base(if you ever need support).

Hard Drive - Unless you specifically want 750gb, I'd go with the 500gb WD or 1tb Samsung listed below.
500gb platters instead of 250gb. Lower failure rate(based on reviews), 1tb one comes with free docking station, and 500gb WD comes with 5 year warranty vs 3.

500gb

hey you live in columbus, oh too! that doesn't happen too often here lol.

build looks good btw. i have that seagate hard drive myself and have had no problems with it. the ones Danny listed above have better newegg reviews though, for what it's worth. oh, and they have 5 year parts/labor warranty while the seagate has 3 years.

Not that good of a choice considering that you can get the similarily performing and larger 640GB drives for about the same price:
$70 - Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$75 - Western Digital WD6401AALS 640GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

I deliberately recommended the 500gb model over the 640.
The single platter on the 500gb has it's appeal... Its not a huge difference, I know... but I figure if he needs the extra space, he wouldn't mind paying a extra $20 for the 1tb drive. Price per gb, its about the same as paying $5 for 140gb extra.

Like I said, its not a big difference.. they're all good deals on good hard drives and you have to really pull at hairs to say ones a better buy than the other. The way I see it, the 500gb has the benefit of a single platter, the tb comes with a free external dock, and the 640 is a compromise between the two in terms of size/price.. but doesn't have either the single platter or free external =/

btw, newegg newsletter just came in...
The 750gb seagate drive you posted is on sale at $59.99, promo code EMCYPYX47
Killer deal
