Hey guys, a friend and I are looking to build identical systems.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

HD Video streaming, light gaming (starcraft 2, Diablo 3), light programming/compiling

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

Base price without taxes/shipping considered.

3) Where do you live?

Ontario, Canada. Open to Canada Computers/Newegg/Tigerdirect/NCIX, etc.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Full desktop system excluding monitor and peripherals. (Case, mobo, cpu+heatsink, psu, ram, HD, Vid card, DVD burner only)


5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

6) Will you be overclocking?

No.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?

24" High def LCD

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

By end of July

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.

RAID (open to other recommendations if they boost price/performance value)

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?

Planning on running Ubuntu and Win7 64bit.
 
What are the sources of your HD video streaming? What will you be using for "light programming/compiling"?

Which particular LCD monitor will you be using? (Please be specific.)

Are you playing any games right now? If so, which games?

Do you have a copy of Windows 7 on hand? If so, which version?
