My computer broke recently (originally kept turning off under stress, recently after about 10min of just being on it would switch off), this weekend I was able to finally deduce the problem being my motherboard (could actually be RAM as I wasn't able to test that, but I've been meaning to upgrade anyway). So it's time to upgrade! Case and power supply are reusable and I may be able to get away with old GPU but I am debating getting a new one. Let me know what you guys think of what I was looking at last night and this morning. Thanks!

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$800 tax and shipping not included
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

USA Orlando, FL
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Video Card
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Case, Power Supply
6) Will you be overclocking?
No
7) 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Duel 1650X1080 17"(?)
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I'd like SLI (although I only want to get 1 GPU currently) USB 3.0 would be nice
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 7 64bit legit

If you can find out the PS make/model and case that would help alot, when you get the chance.

running at that resolution, could he reasonably save some money by downgrading to a $340 overclocked 660 ti 3gb?

difference here seems pretty slim for a $60 price increase

True, but going to a 24" @ 1080 would be better for gaming and all around usage. The 17"s can be used for secondary screens.

Not a good motherboard. Chances are you'll have to flash the BIOS to run Ivy Bridge processors anyway.

I'd recommend $149.99 - ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s

Everything else looks fine.
