Hello all,

Trying to complete this build for my fiance and wanted to see what my options are in the motherboard and case department. Feel free to suggest changes in my build.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming (World of Warcraft, Diablo 3) and Photoshop

2) What's your budget? $200 bucks shipped to finish the build.

3) Which country do you live in? San Francisco

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? Case and motherboard.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? 2TB HDD and 22" ACER LCD

6) Will you be overclocking? No

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? 1680 x 1050

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? As soon as possible.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? Small form factor. Micro-ATX or Mini-ATX. Gigabit LAN. Decent audio.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? Yes. Windows 7 64 Bit.

The build as of current looks like the following:

Radeon 6870 $140

OCZ Fatal1ty 550W $40

2 x 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 $46

iCore CPU 2400 $190

ASUS DVD Burner $20

Missing components:
Case $100
Can't be greater than 12x12x12x. The smaller the better but if I have to pay a premium for the mini ITX form factor I am fine with a very small micro ATX case.

Motherboard $100
The motherboard choices really depends on which case I'll be purchasing. The budget is $100 shipped at the very most. We do not need any fancy bells and whistles. We just want something stable that can handle the CPU chosen above and has gigabit LAN.

The goal is to be able to play WoW at max settings on the current LCD that I will be giving her. It would be great if the PC can play Diablo III decently when it comes out.

Thank you [H].

Here's your case: the Silverstone SG05BB-450. While it does exceed your $100 limit, the case also comes with a 450 watt SFX power supply that has plenty of juice for the HD 6870. Unfortunately, in lieu of buying a beefier power supply (that you no longer need), you will have to spend a bit more on a slim optical drive and a SATA conversion cable.

As for the motherboard, there are a few inexpensive options around. At NewEgg, one of the best (currently available) options is the Biostar TH61.

May I ask why you're going with NewEgg? Amazon still doesn't charge any sales tax to California residents.

Thanks tiraides. I had just used Newegg as a reference point but can also purchase from amazon if needed. I'll look into those recommendations later on today. Thank you once more.
