So, Bugbear cant use the Flatout name, since the publisher sold it to another publisher.
But, they are making a new game, like the original Flatout's.

Bugbears new game NCG (Next Car Game) needs some money, so that they dont need a publisher.
They are the ones who made Flatout, Flatout 2, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, Ridge Racer Unbounded, and Ridge Racer Driftopia (they did NOT make Flatout 3, that was a different developer).
NCG is going to be like the Flatout series. More control over the cars, no one-button-consolized-wintherace racer.

If 10,000 pre-order, they will release an alpha version for evryone who does pre-order. Nice!

If you havent played any of the flatouts, you are missing some great arcade type racing, and lots of smashing, and even some funny car games.
The Flatouts are the only other racing games I truly cherish, being just behind Carmageddon series.
(No, I am not affiliated with Bugbear in any way, except as a fan of the Flatout series).
 
Com'on guys, only one comment?. Get in on this. My LAN boys and myself loved the Flatout series. Who doesn't love destruction derby, racing, stunts and racing/crashing cars and watching the rag doll driver flying out of the car? If you haven't played a Flatout game you have missed a unique driving game. Most driving games bore me to tears. This is not one of them.

Get your preorder in and support Bugbear. Its only $25 for the full game. I just saw a thread of someone complaining about digital games selling for $60. He needs to check this out. :)
 
I will definitely be pre ordering this , loved the first flatout game.

Closest game to the Destruction Derby type of racing game I loved.

Hopefully you can actually lose tires and things in this one.
 
I should preorder this game, I loved Rally Trophy and Flat Out was awesome. Bugbear is awesome IMHO. Hyväe perkalainen.
 
The Pre-release for the early purchasers was released today. Basically it's what you see in the demos - no real racing but a bunch of ways to destroy your car. I know that its Alpha, but I hope they do something more with the car damage - I was driving around on a car that was the size of one wheel and it would turn and run just fine even though it had no engine and only one wheel. It reminded me of Viper Racing for anyone old enough :p

Curious what everyone else thinks.
 
Yep been following this. Looks fun. Can't get enough Demolition Racing.
