What a nightmare, i just wanted something temporary while i change computers and won't have my main system for a week or 2 and smallnetbuilder said this wasn't so bad for the price.

Nothing but dam problems from the start, i guess my research wasnt enough!
1. firmware does not load on boot with this one if you get an older one, had to do a hack job on an ini to get it to load the system

2. Problem now, i have my 3T drive in it, loaded the firmware again (if you dont it just boots into Emergecy Mode and you can't do jack sh*t), have web access, but it says "HDD not formated" so i go to the Advance Settings, Drives, and click to format the drive, but get a nice error
Format failed. Make sure that the drive is not configured as read-only. Try rebooting the LinkStation.
But i see no options to set a drive as read only or not, it seems when you do the firmware update, it uses the Disk 1 as the disk to write to, and thus locks the dam drive so now you cant use it!
Now i would love to post on their forums, but i can't even register becaused apparently i am retarded

Question
Second part of word in most Buffalo Products:
I got no dam clue.. sure it is obvious but i tried everything i could i saw on their site, spent a good 10 mins trying every work and checking every product....
So i just hit refresh about 10 times for registration on their forums and got asked an easier question
First word in Buffalo's slogan:
wondering how much it would cost me to send this piece of sh*t back from Costa Rica!
