I would like to know if it is possible to beat the price of an h70 with custom water cooling.
I'd like help on finding some cheap parts.

Here is what I've researched so far:
CPU block: ? (1366) ($25?)
Pump: $18 Via Aqua 1300
Clamps: $0.40 Plastic tubing clamps
Radiator: $40 (+barbs) XSPC RS240
Water: ? ($4?)
Tubes: ? ($10?)
Fans: I have 2 already

1366Cpu block, more like $75
Pump, buy a decent one like a DDC or D5 for about $70ish +/-
Rad, not to bad.
Water, where are you getting $4 water? A gallon of distilled costs like $.98
Tubing- do not buy that Home depot shit, pick up some decent tubing like Primochill or Clearflex it runs from $1.50 to 2.50 per foot figure on 7-10 feet depending on how your parts are spaced.

So no you can not get in the H50/70 price range with components, that being said you can not upgrade from a H50/70 and a add a video card, where as a component one you can.

If you want to just cool your CPU and have no intention of ever add a GPU(s) to the loop just pick up a H70.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make a custom watercooling rig that can beat an h70, in price/performance. so going with a decent pump is out of the question.
