big question from the 2004 [H]ardware Workshop: ram or video card?

system is in my signature.

i'm thinking of going upto 1Gb of DDR 3200 Dual Channel Ram or an Ati 9800pro. i do games and video editing on my box mostly. i'm thinking the ram would be the best idea for now which will also give me a chance to wait for the market to settle with these new video cards falling from the hardware gods. what do you guys think?

That's a [H]ard decision. Personnaly, I would go for the 9800 pro since the FX5200 is a POS. The RAM will help, but if you game and video edit, a newer video card will help more. I might even not upgrade at all, and wait until the 6800s and x800s become cheaper and pick up one of them. :)
