I need a pair of speakers for my older rig. Since only my sister is going to be using it and she isn't obsessed with having crystal clear sound quality. Can anyone recommend any budget speakers that provide the most bang for the buck?

Btw the sound card is Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1.

promeida 5.1 or HT setup baby!!! ;)

j/k

does she want 5.1 sound or just stereo or what?
i'd recommend going for creative inspire series.

A good suggestion. I have a pair of 2500 2.1 speakers myself - they're pretty good for the price. If you can find Altec Lansing speakers for a lower price, then you'll still get the same kind of audio quality. Usually they're about the same price, though.

No more then $30. 2.1 or 2.0 doesn't matter. I was looking at the logitech X-120's. Any good?

i generally dont like logitech speakers. personally i would go with creative in that price range. but considering they are the low end of the spectrum, it shouldnt matter much. good luck :)

 those snowman speaker would trample the promedia ultras!! dont dis snowman speakers!!! and at $5 or whatever they were, best price/performance ratio ;)
