hello everybody, this is my firts podt here!!!
i signed in as i'm going to build a new small Linux box and i'm a bit undecided.
due to driver issues i should stick to nforce or intel chipsets.
the options i was considering was (beware i live in sweden so the prices are what
i found here):
nf-m2 nview + x2 3600+ (~180$)
nf-m2 nview + x2 4200+ (~200$)
P5B-VM + e4300 (~260$, but i'll have probably problems with the lan driver)
P5B-VM DO + e4300 (~$280)
my objective was to build a mostly 24/7 box on, i play a little but mainly old games
(nwn) and i guess i'll not buy a graphics card for now.
i'd like to be able to undervolt to run cooler/silent during the night and maybe overclock
a bit in the occasional heavy task (i not a oc whore though!)
which config is the best bang for the bucks?
are out there any better?
(actually i found also the biostar tforce 6100 am2 but i'm not sure how it works on linux,
it's 20$ cheaper than the abit though)
thank to all!!!
