basically i want ips for the viewing angles. I want to turn my monitors to portrait and if anyone has done this with TN, you can only view them head on or the shift is pretty nasty to look at. I'm colorblind(really red/green) so i don't really care about colors, and I pretty much don't game any more on my rig it's almost purely for work, so the IPS is strictly for viewing angles.

I'm currently setup for a dual monitor arm display and would rotate them both to portrait. Probably later on i'd want to get the same monitor for eyefinity so a third ips and 5850 later on.

But for now, please recommend a budget ips monitor that i really only care about for viewing angles, and is like 21-22inches.

i'm thinking hpz series? tho i can't seem to find any except the 24in series.

Dell 2209WA / LG W2220P

It's a great monitor at a great price (at least here in my country) =)

You might want to consider a Dell 2209wa, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio which tends to be better for productivity. They can get pretty low in price with a sell/coupon (not all that uncommon off Dells site).

If you go with one of these be prepared to wait. I ordered three of these on 6/24 and they still haven't shipped (today is 7/28). My ship date shows 8/9.
