What do you guys think about a Biostar TA770 with a 5000+ Black Edition and 2GB of Crucial Ballistix? I can put this combo together for less than $200 (after rebate on memory) @ the egg.

Thanks

You'd probably get more performance out of a

Gigabyte P35 ($90) + E2180 ($80) + Ram (varies).

It will most likely be $20 or $30 more expensive but I think it would be worth it.

If you want to stay AMD then i'd say that's a good combo.

Aye that Gskill is killer for the price and the performance of it.

The ram OCs very well and is cheap. You will be happy with the 5000+ BE :D I have mine at 3.0Ghz on stock voltage stable. I had it running at 3.2 with a voltage increase but the temps are a bit too high with my OCZ cooler.

Too bad my 5000+ isn't a BE. I can hit 3.2 (on water) but my mobo doesn't like it all that much. (neither does my POS budget ram)

I recommend a Gigabyte board instead. The bios settings are well worth the small price hike.

I use the same combo(except ram is kingston) and it works great. It all OCed well(I hit 3.2Ghz on air) and was easy to put together. The only advice i can give is to flash the bios when you get it the one that comes stock isn't great.
