Need some hardware recommendations for a cheap ESXi server.
Mobo:
Need to be able to pass through an HBA to Server 2012
Needs to have a slot for intel NIC card.
Would be nice if it had integrated graphics to assist with setting up ESXi. (Is that needed or can I set it up with a cheap graphics card installed and then remove the GFX card and install the HBA?)
Would be nice if the integrated NIC was useful (if it doesn't work for ESXi hopefully I can pass it though to a VM but not really a big deal if its useless.
HBA:
Needs to work with both ESXi and OpenIndiana (I will be moving the HBA to a dedicated ZFS server eventually.)

EDIT: would be nice if I could instal ESXi on USB stick and pass through the mobo SATA controller to Server 2012. Save me from having to buy an HBA right now.

Edit It's going to be used to run pfsense and server 2012 24/7. I will also be deploying multiple VM's of windows 7 and windows 8 + linux for testing purposes. (These will be much less used.)

Right now seems like a its GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ and ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+
