Budget custom computer, non-gaming

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This will be a teachers computer. Probably wont be any gaming, unless it's facebook games. So basically, non gaming. Lots of web browsing and lots of spreadsheet type work. Don't think they will get large spreadsheets with lots of programming in them, but I don't know. Basically I think an i3 or Pentium will do fine on the system.


2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

No more than $1000 total. Would like to keep it as close to $500 as possible, but $1000 is about the maximum.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

Intend to go with an ASUS 23" 1080P monitor. It's model number is something like VH232H or something like that. Her husband has the same model and they want the monitors to match in the room. *shrug*

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Honestly she doesn't have any specific needs. Will most likely be an ATX case, so anything that can fit inside an ATX case. She will most likely only have two SATA devices and at most two sticks of RAM, four for later upgrades is a plus but not needed.
Wireless built in could be an option, otherwise I intend to rock the ASUS n15.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Do not have a license. Will need to purchase as part of the budget.


I haven't begun to put together a system, I got some ideas in my head just haven't researched any of them yet.
 
They don't want to buy manufacturered computers anymore. The last couple they had it was impossible for them to replace bad parts most of the time.

Undecided on a case and speaker setup. Will most likely give her a list to choose from on the case, as for the speakers I'm not sure if I wanna build her a setup or just get a set. Doubt she will need a custom speaker setup, so will most likely just find a pair of cheap speakers to use.

-Reason for the 2125 is because that's the same CPU her husband has in his setup and it's rocking the Intel HD 3000 graphics, since she isn't going with a dedicated GPU, I figured the HD 3000 graphics would be useful.

-Motherboard is cheap in price, should be good quality. Has 4 RAM slots and should they need to add a dedicated graphics card it's got a PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot as well.

-Plenty of power for their planned setup.

-RAM is cheap. Since she's the kind of user that will most likely install and run everything at the same time, should guarantee that it wont slow it down too much.

-ODD, currently the cheapest one shipped. If I find another cheaper on the day I intend to buy I will switch to it.

-Its a keyboard and mouse + wireless.

-Currently rocking the same wireless NIC in the other computer that will be in the same room. They also plan to go with a wireless N router, but they are currently rocking a wireless G.

-Same monitor he has. Well almost the same, I believe he has the 2ms response version VH236H, they look identical on the outside and that' all that matters really.

-It's W7 HP and it's needed.

-PSU doesn't come with a power cord and I'm not sure they have an extra one laying around.
 
I've never liked the Core i3 2125 since it's just way too close in price to the $180 Core i5 2310. IMO the higher graphics isn't worth the extra costs over the Core i3 2120 or 2100.

I'm more inclined to recommend the MSI H77MA-G43 instead due to the better UEFI interface and slightly better Newegg reviews.
