1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mostly web browsing, sometimes some gaming(Mostly CS:S and Battlefield 2 but I'd like the option to play some newer games. Doesn't need to be the highest settings)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
About $600 max including tax and shipping

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
Everything except HD and DVD drive
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
If needed I can reuse an IDE DVD burner and a SATA 160 GB hard drive. I also have plenty of new fans, SATA cables, IDE cables, screws, thermal paste, etc.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
I have a DVI 23" with a 1920x1080 resolution that will be my main monitor. As a secondary monitor I have a DVI 20" with 1680x1050. Optional but as a third monitor I have a DVI/VGA 20" with 1680x1050(currently use that with onboard graphics through VGA). Only monitor that will be used for games is the 23"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
As soon as possible. Before Christmas definitely.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
Besides being reliable, nothing
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?

No $55 layin around for a new HDD (Samsung F3 500GB)? Your computer is as fast as your slowest component, and I'm betting that'll be your 160GB HDD. ;)
 
Yeah, since I'm a bit under my budget I plan to buy a 500 GB HD. Even that is more space than I really need(keep most of my stuff on my server since it has raid 1, only thing on my PC is my OS and whatever apps/games I have installed)
 
The one I linked to was a Blue. I'd prefer to order everything from the same place.
 
The blue/black 500GB WD Caviars are still using 2 platters, 250GB each, IIRC; this means they'll be slower than the 640GB drives, since those use 2x 333GB platters (higher platter density makes the drive faster, typically). The Samsung F3 was a single platter 500GB, which is what made it fast. So, like g said, if you stick with WD, get the 640GB or 1TB version of the caviar.
