I just got myself a Kingston Value Ram with Hynix BT-D43 chipset with latency of 3-8-3-3
So for testing, I've set my OC backed to 200Mhz FSB @ 2.4Ghz. Running CPU
RAM ratio of 1:1, installing the RAM at DIMM1&3
200Mhz 2.5-6-3-3 (pass)
210Mhz 2.5-6-3-3 (pass)
220Mhz 2.5-6-3-3 (pass)
225Mhz 2.5-6-3-3 (checksum error)
225Mhz 3-8-3-3 (pass)
230Mhz 3-8-3-3 (checksum error)
230Mhz 3-8-4-4 (pass)
235Mhz 3-8-4-4 (fail)
voltage been up to 2.7v for stability
ok, then i tested OC, first on FSB of 250, with divider of 5:4, everything's ok.. with the same divider, by using the configuration above, i manage to maintain divider 5:4 until FSB 275Mhz, DRAM 220Mhz (don't want to increase latency)
here the problem begin... i set the FSB to 300 for me to run my initial OC, with the divider set at 3:2, i got no post! so i set it back until 280FSB, 187DRAM; finally got post
set the FSB to 285, again no post.. then i've decided to change to DIMM2&4. YAY got post!
but anything higher than that results in no POST
After that i plug in my Apacer PC3200 into DIMM1&3 together with Kingston at DIMM2&4, and i finally got POST and enter windows at 300FSB with divider 3:2@3.6Ghz!
ran some test, 3Dmark03s bla bla bla... everything stable... just don't understand why can't my Kingston alone get me to 300FSB even with divider set at 3:2?
