BSOD when inserting hot-swap drive

My system is detailed out in my sig. My case supports hot-swap drives, but whenever Windows is running and I insert a drive into one of the hot-swap bays, I get a guaranteed BSOD. The SATA controller is Intel. Any suggestions? A web search didn't turn up anything useful.

What do the windows event logs show? Can you paste the error in here that would be very helpful.
 
Do you have the storage controllers setup as AHCI with hot swap enabled in BIOS?

Though like Deaedius said, Event Logs would be a huge help. Windows Key+R and type eventvwr, Windows Logs>System. There should be an error or errors in there, what are the Source and Event ID of the errors?
