I've been getting regular BSOD's while gaming lately, and their cause has been rather difficult to track down. I was hoping I could get some ideas on what else to try. I can't really reproduce them on demand, as it can happen anywhere between 30 minutes into gaming to several hours. The specific blue screen errors have to do with either "irql_not_less_or_equal" or "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" and bluescreenview shows them being caused by any of hal.dll, watchdog.sys, or ndis.sys.
It's pretty fair to rule out temperature, as all temps are very low. I've tried reducing GPU clock speed significantly (up to 30% reduction didn't help), increasing ram voltage from 1.8 to 1.9, ... simple gpu stress tests (like in steam games) don't trigger the BSOD, running memtest for several hours reveals nothing, updated drivers and bios on all, voltages don't look out of whack... basically i'm out of ideas, and looking for help. i feel like i've looked into the obvious stuff. specs are:
mobo: Asus P5Q (intel chipset)
cpu: intel q6600
gpu: BFG GTX260 OC MAXCORE 55
ram: corsair xms2 DDR2 2x2gb @ 5-5-5-18 (stock)
psu: SeaSonic M12 SS-600HM 600W
any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
