Hello all,

I put in a 7800gtx in my system and everything has worked fine up till a couple days ago. My system will bsod after awhile and then I turn it back on and windows says it was a problem with the display adapter and would recommend turning off my hardware acceleration to fix the problem.

I don't think I had the problem before the new drivers 81.85 but If anyone has had this problem that would make me breath easier, to know my card isn't broken..

AMD 64 3000+
DFI NF4 LANPARTY
RAID 0 - rap's
ANTEC NEO POWER

It shows an error like this

Infinite loop

STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

I thought this was fixed along time ago, but why am I experiencing this??

I had a similar problem with my current setup. I would crash or just restart, and directly after the windows boot screen, i would get a blue screen (but i could not read what it said) and then it would reboot and loop like that until I set optimized defaults in BIOS.

The new NF4 chipset drivers have seemed to stablize my whole machine. If you do not have them installed, I highly recommend them as a first step to stability.

cheers

There is some blue-screen discussion going on in this thread: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=966318 I've only been seeing it with the 81.XX drivers. It never happened on 78.XX.

Installing 6.70 NF4 drivers seemed to help a little, but I still get the blue-screens in certain games and other misc programs.

OCing or not seems to have no effect on this problem. I've tried dropping everything to stock speeds, and it still happens. I'm fairly certain it's something to do with the 81.XX drivers.
