The problem: System goes to the BSOD shortly after boot up and gives me a machine_check_exception, then it reboots and does it again. I have not installed any new hardware recently. The problem persists with the onboard network disabled, the sound disabled, the usb disabled. The only card installed is my Visiontek GeForce 4 4400Ti - I tried swapping memory, and tonight i'm going to disable the onboard raid controller and install a differrent one. Does this sound like a screwed up IT7? And what is the likelyhood of a P4 gone bad? The processor is a 1.8a - clocked back down to stock speeds - it has been lapped and has a massive Alpha on it - no shorted pins - good thermal paste application - I have pushed it though and worry that I might have killed my first processor. Looking for opinions and ideas people - help!

BTW - the memory is Crucial, the PS is a 520 watt, the bios is updated, and i'm runnning XP Pro SP1
