i am having problems intalling windows on a new build. I get bsod seamingly at random during the install. Currently its complaining about WinFsf.sys but I have seen other errors.

I thought it was likely the ram but after running memtest86 I got no errors. Although when i plug in my apple aluminium keyboard i get lots of errors which dont appear using other keyboards... Any advice would be great.

System:
maximus formula (bios 1004)
q9450
evga 8800gt
2x2gb gskill pc6400 at 667mhz 5 5 5 15

Is there another test I can run to help me narrow down the component causing the issue?

How many passes of memtest did you run, it often takes several passes to be sure.

What kind of errors, and when with that keyboard?

I'm not sure of what type of errors but they happen on test 4 around the 50% mark as well as in other places.

I have ran the test about 3 times using different bios settings without the keyboard attached and no errors. I guess I can let it run longer though seeing as I'm out of ideas.

Also I am using a corsair hx520 psu

Before I figured the keyboard thing out I tried installing with one stick at a time and one of them seamed to work. I managed to install but windows was acting very funny. It gave errors while trying to unzip exe files and when I tried to run setup programs, which I know run on that version, I would get error saying the program closed... Oh and I managed to run 3dmark06 all the way with one of the sticks. The other one made windows bsod...

I have tested each stick on its own with the apple keyboard and both give on average 13-21 errors. But without the keyboard I have yet to see one and the vista install complains right away
