Browser Navigation With Gestures

You know I gotta say I'm now very tempted to get Kinect, not for the games but for all the cool things you can do when you hook it up to a PC.

It's the technology that will eventually let you interact with holographic screens in sci movies :)

Same here. I've got 2 Xboxs so it would see use on them, but the only reason I'm even thinking of buying it is for the PC. I think Microsoft is missing a big market by not making it plug'n'play on Win7.

I sometimes suffer from arm fatigue from moving the mouse around. I can't imagine what it would be like if I had wave my hands in front of the screen like an idiot any extended period of time...

Arm fatigue? Never heard of that from a mouse b4 man, better check your ergonomics.

does this mean we might see less turkey arms...

They need something like this for StumbleUpon

Maybe Microsoft is keeping this trick up their sleeve for the next Windows, and they will use this as a selling point for the new Windows.

I don't like the scroll up/down gesture.... that looks tiring and really awkward.

The Zoom gesture could use work too... I'd want something more Minority Report/Apple-ish.

One side of me thinks this would be awesome.

The other side, though, feels like this would be a pain in the ass, and that doing it with a mouse would be much faster and less tiring.

For the low price of $150 you can... browse the web with your hand.

What people really need is a browsing method that doesn't require hands. ;)

Very cool stuff, though I can see your arms getting tired of the motions. Interesting I look forward to the months to come and see what others create. I think the connect will have a huge impact on handicapped people.

I've been using mouse gestures for a long time now and it fasilites me to be very efficient *cough lazy cough*. I'm not sure this is better as i would actually have to lift my hand...

William Shatner will be the only person on the planet to make this really work.

This is an awesome first step... the thing is thogh, the movements are bad in the video, too much gesture... I mean, if you give a presentation, would you really want to wave around like an idiot? rather than just small gestures to get to where you want?
