broken pins

on my outlet in the pc where u plug in the cables that connect to ur floppy drive, cd rom etc (dont know whats its called).. anyways .. i saw a few pins were broken.. so does that affect anything?
 
what? lol.. coudl you explain that a bit better?.... but broken pins... sounds like youre fux0red... maybe you can solder on something?

molex connectors? :confused:
 
the 40 pin connectors on the mobo? Most have a pin that is not in on the mobo. The cables are keyed with a plug in that pin hole. Helps reduce PEBKAC errors on install.
