Foolish me... in my haste to move all the junk off my desk, I splattered a little bit of leftover drink on my laptop. I managed to clean it off and the keyboard was working fine for the day... until later when 6 or 7 keys stopped working.

I don't really know anything about laptop keyboards and was wondering what kind of actuation mechanism the keys use. Is there some way to fix it or am I SOL?

Worst case scenario I'd send it in to ASUS for repairs... but I wanted to know what my options were first.

A new keyboard is about $15 off of ebay. depending on the laptop they can be very easy to change or a complete pain.

Since you mentioned 7 keys stopped working I would just send it back to asus for repairs.
