Hi! I've tried to search for my problem, but I really don't know what I should search for.
Here's my problem.
I downloading a lot using torrents. But some of my torrents never finish, and that's because some percent is always missing. If I move the downloads and continue the download on the other drive, there's no problem. However, a few downloads does succeed, so it's probably some sectors or something like that?
For example. I download the series called mariposaHD (free HDTV series), and they are using from 700 -> 1500Mb. One episode completes without any problems, so does the second, but not the first or the fourth ones. I've set my torrent programs (uTorrent and bitcomet) to re-check the hash when done, so it does re-check, it finds out that some data is missing and tries to download again. And so it goes untill I move the partially downloaded data to another HDD, then it finishes without any problems.
The odd thing is that this only happens every now and then (probably because this issue is based on a certain area of my HDD). I've checked my drives with Ontrack and set it to automaticly fix my errors (takes ages to check everything, so I do it when I go to sleep), I wake up, and it tells me that everything is fine, it fixed some errors thou. But my downloads still doesn't finish. I haven't tried with anything else since I almost only work with sensitive data, but moving the partially data to another disk to make the downloads complete is pretty enough with "evidence" for me.
I recently got this problem, so I'm wondering what I should do to track down the real problem, so I know what solution I should take to get rid of it. Even if it's ends up buying a new drive. It's not worth to sit around with a half-working HDD.
Is there any windows program that does a good check on my drive, or do I have to make use of the ones only supporting DOS? It would be great if I could be told what the error is, which files that are concerned etc etc.

Maybe I should tell you that this is the newest drive I have, so it's not that old. Maybe a year or something? I can find out the exact date by looking for my receipt if anyone find that information valuable
System:
AMD 4200+ 64-bit
Asus A8-N SLI Premium
Kingston 2x512Mb PC4200
The faulty disk: SAMSUNG SP2504C, 232Gb. Containing 3 partitions. Only experienced problems with the third one. Had problems earlier this month. WinXPs computer management -> disk management told me I had 80Gb of free space. I made it to a new partition, then I lost a LOT (150Gb of data), but I managed to recover everything. So maybe this is involved as well?
And I'm using the latest drivers on everything.
