Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Does leaving the brightness on your LCD turned up (i.e. on the 2405) hurt the longevity of the monitor? I've noticed my 2001FP (now 3 yrs old) is sort of dim when it first starts up. Is this the way LCD backlights fail?
It's normal all the way. My 15 inch LG 1530S and my 17 inch 1730S, both do the same thing. Give the CCFLs something like less than 20 seconds to warm up.
BTW the same happens with my blue CCFLs inside my case. They also need warming. So, nothing to fear for your monitor. If a CCFL fails it fails for good. There is no kind of warning.
