I had my SmartUPS 750 running through my Brick Wall surge supressor, but this morning I saw that it had a continuous overvoltage light on the UPS. I unplugged it and it didnt go away, then I unplugged the Brick Wall SPS and plugged it back in. After this it got rid of the light.

Is there any way the surge protector could actually cause an overvoltage? I ask because the Brick Wall's use transformers and capacitators to attenuate the voltage rathern than using MOV's. Could this have damaged my UPS even though its diagnostics report that it's ok?

I'm sending the Brick Wall back either way. The first one they sent me was broken and their packaging doesn't reflect what I was hoping for it to. It was a simple cardboard box with no padding or shock absorption materials in it to protect the unit.
