I just bought my first pair of "hi-quality" cans, Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO/80's. I compared them to the rather small selection at a local Guitar Center and chose these (I hate blind purchasing). Anyways I am new to the headphone scene and wanted to know what I can do to break them in. I've heard that playing pink noise will help them. And I've also read that playing them for about 100 hours or so will help. I already have the file downloaded to my pc. Now I just need to know how I should do this. I'm going out of town for memorial day weekend and can leave the cans connected to my pc over the weekend if that'll help. I just don't want to damage them if this is a dumb idea.
