I just got a 200 gig pata samsung spinpoint, but after trying to get it working it's screwed up somehow!

I've never had a drive > 136gb so I don't know if I have things right to get all 200 gigs, but I have a slipstreamed windows 2000 sp4 rollup and all I got was 136 on the setup screen.

I went back on my other installation into partition magic to format a small partition for the os and the rest like 170 gigs for media and files. Upon returing to the windows installation it didn't like this, saying "unformatted or errors" or some the like. I just picked the right partition to format though and let it go, figuring it wasn't liking the partition >136gb. Later I come back and the disk is all messed up.

Partition magic just says "BAD", I deleted all the partitions in knoppix with fdisk and still no go.
The windows install now shows two unpartitioned chunks adding to 136.

How can I make the drive a fresh slate? I hope it isnt f*cked.
Please help! Thanks!

ok well it looks like mbrfix might have saved me...

but what the hell is up with the 48bit addressing not working on sp4 or sp4 rollup? Does it not work in the initial setup? If not, what do I do? (I kind of messed it up last time)
