Brand new powered sub not working

Acoustech H100 showed up at my door today.

The back looks almost exactly like this:

Things I've tried...
1. PC: 3.5mm from sound card (Sub/Center jack) to RCA connector plugged into "Sub In".
Result - No sound from sub.

2. PC: 3.5mm splitter from sound card (Front L/R jack) to front speakers and the other line of the split to the "Sub In".
Result - Sound from speakers, no sound from sub.

3. Receiver+TV: "Sub Out" to "Sub In".
Result - No sound from sub.

4. Receiver+TV: Speaker wire run from L/R outputs on receiver to "High Level Inputs from receiver" area on back of sub.
Result - No sound from sub.

When doing all of these, I had the volume on the sub at 50% (so as not to risk anything it in case it did start working). Crossover freq was adjusted all around. Phase was swapped. Receiver type was swapped back and forth (a switch that you can tell it either digital or pro-logic receiver).

When messing with the receiver and the sub in digital mode, the subwoofer option was turned on.
When messing with the receiver and the sub in prologic mode, the speaker types were set to small and large (swapped between them for testing) in the receiver.

While connected to both digital and analog modes, the receiver type switch was moved between the two modes to ensure I wasn't missing anything.

Leaving the power switch on "Auto" and removing all connections except for the power cable results in the power light being green. Off switch results in red. On of course results in green. So why would it stay green in auto mode? Could this be related to my no sound issue?

So... any ideas?

Sounds like a defective sub. (see what I did there? )

I'd get an exchange if possible.

The only other thing I can think of is hooking it up to a cd player or mp3 and just feeding it straight source. That way, it either works or it is broken. No gray area there.

I did what you suggested, I used a 3.5mm --> RCA adapter --> RCA cable and hooked my phone up to the subwoofer's LFE (Sub In) connector then launched pandora. While connected, no sound could be heard from the subwoofer (not even any humming) but there was power going to it.

This is despite any settings adjustments made to the subwoofer (all combinations were tried).

My friends F12 (Brother to H100) had the same issue.

What you need to do is remove all the outer screws to the amp and gently pull it away from the enclosure. Inside the enclosure you should see 2 connector leads (positive and negative) going to the sub. During shipping these connector leads have a habit of becoming dislodged and simply need to be reconnected. No warranty service needed. Just make sure when you turn it back on you have the gain down to 0, otherwise you may get a scare.

Checked, all connections were snug, but after seeing them I can understand how they may get diconnected during shipping. Sadly, that wasn't my case. I had really hoped it was to save me the trouble of calling BIC tomorrow but oh well.


Edit: If a mod wishes to lock this, go ahead. I have contacted Overstock's return dept and will be going through them. BIC responded and confirmed from my testing that it's probably DOA and should be returned.
